Marcello’s is a well-established Italian family run restaurant in the heart of Sunderland city centre, a 5minute walk from the empire theatre and local travel links. We offer a welcoming atmosphere with interior décor incorporating an eccentric twist.

We can accommodate anything from large parties to small gatherings and also have the facilities to hold private functions for any occasion. We can provide a private dining area for groups of up to 30-35 guests.

Children are most welcome, as a family run business we understand the importance of eating together and sharing good food. It has been our pleasure to have watched the families of our regular patrons grow and to able to share birthdays, weddings and christening’s as their children grow in to adults.

Our menu has been created using finest ingredients to ensure that every dish is fresh and full of flavour’s that leaves that unmistakable taste of Italian cuisine with you. We offer a wide variety of traditional Italian food including a daily special’s menu for those who want to try something different. Passion, attention to detail and relentless dedication are also part of our many culinary ingredients and go hand in hand to create a unique dining experience.
